New Zealand Tourism Awards 2022 Finalists Revealed

In an online ceremony hosted by the New Zealand Tourism Awards, the NZT Finalists will be revealed in November of this year. 

A prestigious awards ceremony, the NZ Tourism Awards provide celebration amongst the country’s tourism industry for individual and business success. The winners will be announced in person at an awards dinner on the 10th of November, following Tourism Summit Aotearoa. 

“What has been achieved in the past 12 months is nothing short of extraordinary,” says TIA Chief Executive Rebecca Ingram. “I want to warmly congratulate everyone who took the time to enter the Awards, even if they didn’t make it to finalist status. The competition is tough, and I know the judges really agonised over their decisions this year.”

The high quality of the 2022 entries have made a strong impact on New Zealand’s tourism industry. Members of the judging panel have labelled the entry list as “extraordinary”. 

The three awards are open to performers in the industry, and nine awards recognise business success (by profit margin, customer satisfaction and impact on the industry as a whole), industry alignment and organisations that live the values set by the Tourism Sustainability Commitment. 

The Regenerative Tourism Award is a new and prestigious honour that will acknowledge one business that has the wellbeing of its community at heart, represents New Zealand cultural values, boasts an excellent visitor experience and a profitable margin that shows high levels of social responsibility and community trust.
