An Airbnb host guide- why is my Airbnb listing not showing?
There are many reasons why Airbnb may not be showing your Airbnb listing on their site. In this blog we cover reasons such as your listing not being published, being snoozed, or needing to contact Airbnb.
So, you’ve done all the hard work- bought an Airbnb, designed it to appeal to future guests, and put your listing up on every Airbnb.
But hang on a minute- didn’t you put your listing up? Yes! Then why is this listing not showing up on Airbnb?
With no Airbnb listing, that means no Airbnb bookings! So how can you solve this pesky problem?
Let’s dive in!
Is your Airbnb listing published?
According to Airbnb, the first thing to check if this problem occurs is if you have published your Airbnb listing.
To check this, you can search for your listing in Airbnb search results and see how many views your listing has had in ‘Listing Stats.’ Or, you can check for your listing yourself in the search bar by filtering the listings down to find your particular listing.
To find your Airbnb listing:
- First, enter your listing.
- Input the days that you have put as ‘available.’
- Pick the number of guests that your listing allows.
- Click ‘Search.’
- Use ‘Search Filters,’ to input other identifying factors such as the number of bedrooms/beds/bathrooms and what amenities are available at your property.
If your listing has no views or you can't find it, then it’s most likely that your Airbnb listing is not yet published. If this is the case, then you should go back and double-check that all the fields have been filled in correctly and submitted for your listing.
Have you fallen victim to the naughty snooze button?
A common reason that your Airbnb listing may not be showing up according to Airbnb site, BNBDuck, is that your listing is on ‘snooze.’
Luckily, with a couple of clicks, you will be able to quickly solve this problem.
How can you get rid of the snooze button?
- To do this, select ‘Listings’ from the top menu of the Airbnb site.
- Then choose ‘Listing details.’
- When the page has loaded, you can scroll to the bottom of the screen and edit ‘Listing Status.’
- To fix this problem, click ‘Host,’ then ‘Listing, ‘Listing Details,’ ‘Select Listed,’ and finally ‘Save.’
Contact the Airbnb team
Another easy way to put your listing on the map according to Get Human is to contact the Airbnb customer service team, who will be happy to help solve this problem for you. You can contact this team by phone (24/7), email, or even live chat!)

Is Instant Book turned on?
BNBDuck also suggests that you turn the setting ‘Instant Book’ on for your Airbnb listing. Why?
Airbnb tends to favour listings with ‘Instant Book’ turned on, and this means that your listing should appear higher in the search results than other listings which do not have this feature turned on.
Unfortunately, there is a downside.
Turning on ‘Instant Bookings’ means that Airbnb will automatically accept any bookings made for your property. With 'Instant Book' turned on, you won't be able to screen potential guests first. Therefore, you may end up with some customers who are not ideal.
But on the other end, Airbnb also penalises hosts who reject booking requests made by customers.
You are probably best, in the long run, to turn on ‘Instant Book.'
'Instant Book,' should be turned on, as guests love this option, plus this means you are less likely to be penalised by Airbnb (unless you end up cancelling bookings because you have been unable to screen them first).
Conclusion
So there you have it, some of the possible reasons why your Airbnb listing may not be showing.
I hope this blog helped solve your Airbnb listing issue, and you can get back to booking people to fill your Airbnb property (and making some money, of course)!
